The engineering professional will lead multidisciplinary teams in projects across various market sectors
Multidisciplinary minority engineering and consulting firm, Windward Engineers & Consultants, has named Michael Clements as President. Previously Director of Operations, Michael has more than 15 years of experience as a subject matter expert in leading multifaceted engineering, consulting, and design efforts.
In his new role, Michael will provide a steady hand to guide the business through the transition from Brinjac to Windward and will also successfully navigate and lead the building engineering practice at Windward—specializing in new construction, renovations, and additions to existing buildings.

As president, he will lend his engineering know-how to projects ranging from higher education, mission critical, and infectious disease research facilities. With a proven track record managing projects across all industriesand designing solution-oriented strategies, Michael will help Windward continue its progressive growth strategy, expanding the firm’s client and project roster.

With a portfolio of projects spanning six continents, Michael was exposed to global issues in real-time and had the opportunity to see just how impactful his work positively made a difference in communities worldwide. Most recently, Michael served as Associate Vice President and Director of Engineering at AECOM. He led the East region’s Building Engineering team and was responsible for project delivery, mentorship of future leaders, and the supporting of business development and strategic planning. Michael has led teams through complex projects like The Florida Advanced Manufacturing Research Center in Kissimmee, Florida; MD Anderson Sheik Zayed Research Laboratory in Houston; and the Texas Biomedical Research Institute in San Antonio, Texas.
With his vast experience and wide-reaching projects, Michael continues his commitment to cultivating a network of dedicated teams that use their engineering expertise to serve local communities better.
