The Mann Center for the Performing Arts (The Mann) is in historic Fairmount Park and features an open-air amphitheater and picnic lawn. It is one of the country’s largest non-profit premier outdoor concert venues. The Mann accommodates up to 14,000 guests and includes a pavilion with start-of-the-art lighting and a picnic grove with a paved granite walkway.
Windward provided MEP and fire protection engineering services in conjunction with the three-phased redevelopment and expansion. Work consisted of extensive reconfiguration of site roadways and parking areas, creation of a patron circular drop-off driveway plaza, design of new pedestrian lighting throughout the site, expansion of the existing stage house, development of new promenades, a welcome center, dining pavilions, ticketing, catering and concession facilities, restrooms, and other guest amenities.
