Windward provided full MEP design for a $45 million makeover of Metro Bank Park, a city-owned minor-league baseball stadium on City Island. The 208,394 SF stadium includes a new 8,600 SF administrative building, home and visitor lockers, concourse, concessions, restrooms, 20 suites with glass walls that will allow occupants to see the game out of the front of the room and the Harrisburg skyline in the rear, and Club Lounge facility. Work included telecom cabling infrastructure, pathways, spaces, grounding; data and VoIP Network design and project management including wireless ticketing system with Cisco outdoor APs; special grounding design to remove static on the boardwalk; all permitting, application for a joint permit with the Department of Environmental Protection, new routing of the storm and sanitary sewer system; a public plaza and entrance; a new outfield wall with LED boards and advertising panels, new scoreboards; Field and drainage improvements in the outfield and boardwalk surrounding the outfield; construction of a reserved parking area; and field-level brick pavers. The makeover increased seating by about 6,000 (for a total of 10,500 seats).
