Pinnacle Health System – Alex Grass Medical Sciences Building

When Pinnacle Health decided to consolidate its laboratory in a new state-of-the-art facility and add a covered parking addition to their Harrisburg Hospital Campus, Windward was tasked to provide comprehensive design services for the cutting-edge facility. The new laboratory contains specialized spaces for the routine clinical laboratory, which includes the most sophisticated robotic delivery and analytical system in PA. It also features a frozen section room adjacent to the operating room, anatomic pathology, microbiology (including virology and TB testing), and blood donors’ section, as well as laboratory administrative and support offices. Comprehensive engineering services included mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and lighting design.
