Windward provided MEP and fire protection engineering as well as telecommunications, audio/visual, security, and lighting design services for a new 90,000 SF, five-story Business and Public Management Center. The new facility includes classrooms, administrative and faculty offices, Dean’s office, a lecture hall, computer labs, and conference rooms.
Design features include complete multimedia audio/visual systems in the classrooms and conference rooms; energy and water-efficient HVAC and plumbing systems; complete automatic sprinkler systems and emergency systems backed up by a 400KW standby generator. Digital lighting controls integrate occupancy, vacancy, and daylight sensors to the building’s A/V and HVAC systems for ultimate control.
This project achieved LEED Gold certification.
