This confidential client’s Social Space is a unique fit was designed for social and corporate gatherings for the client. The design included a bar, café and meeting space with tiered seating. The experience in the space begins after you leave the elevator on the floor below and ascend the stairs to the space where linear lighting with exposed aluminum conduit was creatively arranged on the bare walls. In the meeting space, linear light coves were incorporated into the architecture and together with small aperture downlights provide the primary source of lighting. The unique feature in the project was the custom illuminated arches which are present throughout the space. These were custom fabricated for the project and consist of stretch PVC fabric material as the diffuser mounted to a fiber reinforced plastic housing that created the arches.
