The new high school is a 170,000 SF three-story building with administrative offices, an auditorium, a fully equipped fitness center; a performing arts suite that consists of instrumental and vocal music classrooms, practice spaces, dance, and art classrooms; an instructional media center/library; and cafeteria.
Windward provided MEP and fire protection engineering as well as telecommunications, audio/visual, and security design and commissioning services for this new Grade 9-12 school. A full building management system was designed and installed for monitoring and control of all HVAC systems and a communication network integrated all equipment controllers for coordinated operation of all systems. Additionally, we provided LEED commissioning services from design through completion. LEED commissioning included HVAC, controls, domestic hot water, and lighting controls.
The building achieved LEED Gold certification.
