Windward Engineers & Consultants is developing a facility conditions assessment of the Main Treasury Building and Annex (now known as Freedman’s Bank Building) located in Washington, D.C. This landmark and historical building is approximately 400,000 SF. The goal of the assessment is to determine the overall condition of the historical 400,000 SF building’s systems, identify building requirements and needs, recommend actions for the requirements, prioritize the requirements and assist the cost estimator in establishing budgetary requirements for deferred maintenance, facility renewals, and functional improvements.

Windward’s services included conducting field surveys of the existing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and security systems. Also, we assessed the condition of the systems noted above, documented observed deficiencies, provided recommended actions, prioritized recommendations, developed deferred maintenance and system replacement schedules, and documented the findings in the GSA Facility Condition Assessment report format.
